    <idAbs>&lt;DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Temakartet «Regulering av temperatur» rangerer arealer etter evne til å redusere temperatur på varme sommerdager.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Større sammenhengende takflater og større ned-bygde områder som f.eks. parkeringsplasser og idrettsplasser kan bidra til å øke temperaturen på varme, vindstille og solrike dager. Slike store nedbygde områder blir til varmeøyer som følge av mangel på skygge og fordampning fra vegetasjon (evapotranspirasjon), og fordi de mørke overflatene absorberer store mengder av varme. Jo større arealene er, jo større blir effekten.       <statement>Arealfigurene i kartet er sammensatt og fremstilt gjennom en tematisk og geometrisk generalisering av en rekke datakilder i Det Offentlige Kart-grunnlaget (DOK), slik som AR5, AR50, SR16, N50, FKB og SSB Arealbruk. 

Kartet bygger på en modell utviklet for å sammen-likne arealers kjølingskapasitet på tvers av klima-regioner (Zardo et al., 2017). Arealene i temakartet temperatur er tildelt en temperaturregulerende faktor som benytter seg av elementene andel tresatt areal (skyggefaktor), fordampning fra jord og utånding fra vegetasjon (faktor for evapo-transpirasjon) bestemt av vegetasjonsdekket i arealfiguren, arealstørrelse (arealfaktor) og klimasone. 

Modellen bruker datasettet FKB-Grønnstruktur som avgrenser og klassifiserer bebygd areal og vegetasjonsdekket areal innenfor bebygde områder.

Klassene er veier, bygninger og annet nedbygd areal, samt feltsjikt (gras), busksjikt og tresjikt. Det inngår også klasser for jordbruksareal og vann.</statement>
