Kartet er sammensatt av en rekke datakilder og brukes i beregninger av kommunevise utslipp og opptak av klimagasser fra arealbrukssektoren i årene 2010, 2015 og 2020.<\/SPAN><\/P>

De karbonrike arealene er delt inn i 6 klasser. Utslippseffekten er oppgitt for arealfiguren som helhet. Skog tar opp store mengder klimagasser.
